I think how the general public feels about Star Wars is kinda like how I feel about How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Let me explain- a trilogy that I have very strong opinions about (the Jim Carrey one is obviously superior)
I love this film. Not because it’s the best movie ever but because it’s a classic, a staple of my youth. And so I watch it every year and I certainly would watch it year round, but it’s more of a holiday tradition
And every time I watch it I think- I can’t believe this was practically done (to an extent of course)
The score/soundtrack is ICONIC (Faith Hill/John Williams one in the same really)
Okay maybe the last one went a little far, but what I’m saying is a classic story of good versus evil where good triumphs in the end that will always hold a piece of my heart.
And even though the new iterations are increasingly worse, I will watch them until they stop releasing them because I love this story
