First off, for a 20 year old Striker to have this much composure let alone a winger when in front of goal shows how much regular game time helped find the net...
Secondly, Torres’ technical ability to take opposition out the game to create an overload in attack is something you’d expect from peak experienced wingers, not a 20 year old in his breakthrough season
Adding to this, he also shows the ability to be able to transition into the final third with pace and skill, driving directly at the opposition, one of the strongest parts of his game
Another dimension is the ability to remain calm and composed when in the final third, already outperforming his xA, from either side of the pitch or through the middle, by executing cutbacks, through balls, crosses etc
Adding to this, his range of chance creation under pressure for a 20 year old is phenomenal. In a more efficient team, it’s a safe bet his assists would be a lot higher
Lastly, the understanding Torres has in developing the play through situational build up for his age is incredible. Knowing which pass to make at the right time, with the ability to execute it perfectly is something not many can do consistently.
Collectively, for a player who’s having his breakthrough starting season at 19/20, it’s clear that the development of his game will go from strength to strength. A PB max of 190 shows hope, but all things considering it’s clear he’ll be an all round top talent
