I’ve seen a lot of resumes recently from those looking for next gig. Here’s a few tips I’ve learned from my own search & hiring experience (no specific order):
1) pdf (not word, google doc, etc)
2) doc name = [name] resume
3) don’t need address — city should be fine

                        4) 1 page should do the trick - it’s a skill to tell your story in one page. 2 pages is okay if you have a PHD, some patents, maybe a Nobel prize — otherwise, try to keep it to one page
5) keep a general version, but always customize it for the role you’re applying for

                        6) show results w metrics — sales - did you beat quota? product - did new features improve retention or NPS?
7) if the companies you’ve worked at aren’t household names, that’s okay, describe what they do in a few words

                        8) share real work examples, if possible. Maybe not on your resume, but in the accompanying email or LinkedIn message — github, dribble, websites, social media, etc. showing > telling
I’m sure I’m missing a bunch, please add to this!
