Smokers are less likely to contract the Coronavirus, eh?

Apparently, nicotine may lessen the overreaction of the body’s immune system found in severe cases. Of the 11,000 patients admitted to hospital in France, only 8.5% were smokers.

The diagram below shows how nicotine inhibits the means by which the Coronavirus reproduces.

I know this study is still hypothetical and not definitive.

But if you’re telling me I’m 4 times less likely to die horribly in the present, with a higher possibility of dying horribly in the (far) future, I’ll say that’s a sweet deal.

I’ll take this over the China virus.
