I’ve been wondering this for weeks. I was hospitalized on New Year’s Eve for what an ER doctor called “a monster pneumonia” and then missed a month of work. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/23/us/coronavirus-early-cases.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/2...

I had just gotten to my sister’s house for the holidays when I got sick. Two weeks after I left she got what she described as the worst flu of her life. But we both tested negative for the flu. She tested negative for the flu twice.

I actually tweeted about this at the time because doctors at this CT hospital suspected I had HIV, which I knew I did not. But that was how they made sense of a healthy 30-something gay man showing up with severe pneumonia.
