I can’t work from home
I’m so bored
I miss my class
I miss their weirdness
I miss having a mad 5 minutes with them and then not being able to get them focused again for at least a further 20
I miss accidentally telling them the answer when I’m asking a question

I miss standing on tables when I’m reading a book to remind them to be listening
I miss saying ‘talk to your partner about how this character might be feeling’ and them then talking about what they had for dinner last night
I miss my interactive whiteboard losing configuration

And it drawing random lines and all the kids laughing
I miss solving little arguments that they’ve had at lunch time, which to them is the biggest problem in the world
I miss getting little random bits of paper with ‘you’re the best teacher’ on which I know they said...

To their previous teacher and will say to their teacher next year, but it still makes me smile
I miss them asking me to spray air freshener after lunch Cos one of the kids has stunk out the room
I miss them making dinosaur noises!!!!!!!!
