I& #39;m no psychologist but to me, it seems Adams past he was a coward and he was weak and that is what he feels allowed him to be abused so he became determined to be strong and powerful

And when Blake showed interest in him, basically the princess of minagerie the daughter of the leader of the wf he saw that as an opportunity for more power more things to control and what better way to get power then to control a young infatuated girl with a powerful family
