1/N I was asked this morning: what’s the best thing that @narendramodi has done on corona virus. My ans: a relatively effective national lockdown; what’s the worst? : a weak social security net for those most affected.

2/N Hopefully @PMOIndia will correct this ‘imbalance’ in next speech. Yes, we need the lockdown to continue but we also need to start creating spaces for kick starting economic activity

3/N where lies the balance? I think in the Bhilwara model which is targeted at hotspots using granular data. In a country of 724 districts, focus on worst affected. It’s a risk but at some stage, a risk worth taking..
