today i attempted to make one of those micro ecosystems in a jar from the creek near my house. not the healthiest creek so i didn’t expect to find anyting spectacular but i did get Something other than dirt and rotting plant matter

it’s essentially just a nematode farm

with some miscellaneous friends slowly revealing themselves
