Fun fact about this study which highlights a quirk of our fellowship program @MGHKidneys @BWHKidney

For those who do not know, our 1st year of fellowship is split equally between two sites in Boston - 6 months each at BWH & MGH #nephjc

There are & #39;noticeable& #39; differences in clinical practice at both sites (even though a large proportion of faculty were trained in the joint program)

One such difference is mannitol use for IDH #nephjc

Finnian, the lead author of this paper and (very) smart Irish nephrologist was surprised. He went from mandatory mannitol prescriptions (1st three Rx) at one site in December to none at the other site in January. #nephjc
