okay can y& #39;all just. accept that some ppl don& #39;t want to be called "queer" and that& #39;s fine? why is this such a big fuckin& #39; deal that y& #39;all are gonna write off legit trauma to reclaim it? you don& #39;t HAVE to say "queer community." "lgbt+ community" works fine too. christ.

some ppl don& #39;t wanna be called "gay" either. personally, i am not a member of "the gay community," and i would not want to be referred to as such. i& #39;m a member of the lgbt+ and/or queer communities. but some ppl don& #39;t want the latter applied to them. and that& #39;s FINE.

i keep seeing this "if queer was a slur then so was gay" and like. yeah. depending on your individual trauma, it can totally be used as such. it& #39;s unfortunately somewhat dependent on intent in cases of reclamation. why can& #39;t we just. respect that?
