the offender pleads not guilty

with all the evidence the offender is guilty
He will be in jail awaiting sentencing

the sentence is 9 years
He is eligible for parole in 5 years
but will most likely stay his full sentence

He will be taken back to court for another assault charge

He attacked an inmate and a guard his first day in general population

he is guilty of assault once again and will get an extra 5 months
